A TRUE POWER DUO
The phrase “it takes two” is clearly referring to the delectable combination of fresh cá com (black anchovies) and sea salt. Wild black anchovies, caught in the crystal-clear waters of Phu Quoc Island, and sea salt are the only two ingredients used in this traditionally inspired fish sauce. Using the 200-year-old Vietnamese tradition, the sauce is fermented for over a year in tropical barrels, creating a smooth, rich and undeniably sweet flavour.
The odyssey to create an authentic fish sauce began after Red Boat’s owner Cuong Pham sought to recapture the flavours of his youth. He relocated to the Island of Phu Quoc in 2006 with the mission to make authentic fish sauce more readily available. Today, Red Boat’s fish sauce is hailed as renowned chef’s secret ingredient, perfecting any Caesar salad, grilled panzanella, or shrimp friend rice.
